Workshop Aids Beginning and Experienced Grant Writers

PurdueLogoThree new class dates have been announced for Beginner's Guide to Grant Writing Workshops.

The two-day workshops help those who work for nonprofit organizations and government agencies learn how to develop ideas for winning grant proposals, identify and work with funding sources, and understand the proposal development, submission and review process. Help also is available throughout the year to those who have attended the class.

"Participants have received more than $6 million in funding after attending this workshop," said Peggy Hosea of the Purdue Center for Regional Development and workshop coordinator. "This has allowed them to expand their facilities, purchase technical equipment and increase their services."

The workshops take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time on the dates and at the Purdue Extension county offices that follow:

  • May 17, June 7: LaPorte, 2358 N. U.S. 35, LaPorte
  • June 2 and 23: Hendricks, 1900 E. Main St., Danville
  • June 15 and July 13: Harrison, 247 Atwood St., Corydon

Registration is $150 per person and includes a workbook, reference materials in CD format and lunch both days.
