Workshop Focuses on Identity Theft Awareness

Northwest-Indiana-Small-Business-Development-CenterThe Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center is offering an Identity Theft 2011 Workshop from 9 to11 a.m. Wednesday March 16 at the NWI Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive.

Paul and Jacki Kennedy, certified identity theft risk management specialists representing the Identity Theft Awareness Group, will clarify Identity Theft 2011 by identifying fact, fiction and safeguards. Business owners will be provided compliance information regarding the final phase of the “Red Flag Rules,” which were passed Dec. 31, 2010, including: Is your business covered by this law? How does this law affect your customers? How can you reduce your risk of identity theft?
