WRF Nursery Raised More Than $800 for Habitat of Humanity of Porter County on Small Business Saturday

WRF Nursery & Garden Center held a record-breaking fundraiser during their annual Breakfast with Santa event. Over $800 was raised for the Habitat for Humanity of Porter County during the 3-hour event.

The special breakfast took place inside the WRF Nursery & Garden Center’s Christmas Shoppe on November 25th. Santa listened to over 70 Christmas wishes and thanked everyone in attendance while reminding them of the importance of helping others in need and the blessing of having a home.

Shortly after the event, Rick and Kim Wittmer, owners of WRF Nursery & Garden Center, presented Kelly Longhi of Habitat of Humanity of Porter County with a check in the amount of $819.16. WRF Nursery & Garden Center donated 100% of the ticket proceeds as well as a percentage of Christmas tree and holiday decor sales made during the event.

Habitat for Humanity of Porter County’s largest build-to-date is currently underway! They are building a home for the Forste family of 10 in Hebron.
