Crown Point Brick Patio Dedication

Event Information

6:35pm - 6:35pm

The City of Crown Point and the Lake Courthouse Foundation are excited to announce the dedication of the new brick patio on the Courthouse lawn.  The dedication will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at 3 pm.

The outdoor patio idea was conceived to reenergize the Marriage Mill that made our downtown famous going back as early as 1915.

Couples can continue to join the ranks of other famous faces who have been married at our historic courthouse: Rudolph Valentino, Muhammad Ali, and Ronald Reagan, to name a select few.

All the memorial bricks were saved and are now proudly being displayed in the new patio area.

“This will provide another chapter in honoring those who were respectfully being displayed. Since the patio was recently completed late last week - we have seen many of our families enjoy the picturesque scenery especially from the recent CP Homecoming.” stated Mayor David Uran.

Funding for this project was provided by the Crown Point Redevelopment Commission.
