Foundation Meadows Park Playground grand opening

Valpo Parks is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest inclusive playground at Foundation Meadows Park. The community is invited to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration to experience this state-of-the-art play space, thoughtfully designed for children of all abilities. 

Join Us for the Celebration:

• What: Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for the New Inclusive Playground
• Where: Foundation Meadows Park, 3210 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, IN
• When: Friday, June 6, 2025 
• Time: Ribbon Cutting at 11:00 AM, Food Trucks from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

“This incredible 5,230-square-foot playground, built through the rePLAY initiative, is a testament to Valpo Parks’ commitment to providing meaningful spaces where all children can play, explore, and connect. The design incorporates innovative features to ensure accessibility and engagement for every child,” said Valpo Parks Director Kevin Nuppnau.

Playground Highlights Include: 

• The 12-foot Aventus Tower, an accessible tower that is the first of its kind.
• A diverse range of 10 slides for all ages and thrill levels. 
• Smooth, poured-in-place surfacing throughout, ideal for wheelchairs and other mobility devices. 
• 15 ground-level activities and 8 sensory play experiences for discovery.
• 7 elevated components, all accessible by ramp, promoting inclusive play.
• Inclusive bench swings designed for both children and their caregivers. 

Bring the whole family to explore this exciting new addition to our park system. Food truck favorites Papa Farm Pizza, Big Mike's Food Truck, and Day Dreams & Ice Cream will be on-site with lunch available for purchase.
