38th Annual Popcorn Panic set for September 10, 2016

Registration for the Valpo Parks 38th Annual Popcorn Panic on September 10 is open online at RunSignUp.com. The race and walk start at 7:30 a.m. from Central Park Plaza. Individuals, families, co-workers and teams are invited to run the 5-mile course or walk the 5K (3.1 mile) course. This signature Popcorn Fest race offers a challenging course, a scenic tour of Valparaiso neighborhoods and a downtown finish line in the heart of the fest.

The standard registration fee is $30 for walkers and runners who sign up by August 11; the fee is $35 for those who register August 12 – September 8. The late fee is $40 fee after September 8 through 7 a.m. on race day. For groups that register as a team, there is an additional $10 fee per team name. The Popcorn Panic race is included in the Calumet Striders 2016 Gold Cup races and Gold Cup racers will receive a $1 discount for each entry.

Registration is accepted only online at RunSignUp.com. In person registration is only open September 9 only from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Butterfield Family Pavilion on Friday and on race day 6:00-7:00 a.m. at the race tent in Central Park Plaza.
