Assistant Editor:

Ideas in Motion Media, publishers of the exclusively positive news sites: ValpoLife.com, PortageLife.com, LaPorteCountyLife.com, and NWIndianaLife.com, is seeking an Assistant Editor.

Someone engaged and enthusiastic with strong work ethic who is interested in sharing good news in their community. You will gain invaluable experience, connection within the community, and learn about content management.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining all social media networks during work hours
• Scheduling engaging social posts based on network planning
• Edit special projects and articles
• Posting to content management system
• Edit coverage during regular work hours
• Posting to content management system
• Assist editors with event and press release posting
• Event calendar management
• Serve as backup to Processing Editor
• Managing coverage prep for Coverage Team
• Equipment management e.g. camera upkeep and maintenance
• Preparing equipment for day’s events
