Shout Out to Addison Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Team Members

Only the most compassionate senior care centers hire the employees to truly match their level of commitment. At Addison Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center, employees go above and beyond the norm to provide the best possible care for their residents. Aside from their dedication, the level of empathy they give to each aspect of their job shows.

Lee Frisby and Janice Hendrich are two such Addison Pointe employees. Both staff members interact with the residents in different but vital ways, and both enjoy their role within their senior community.

As a Certified Nurses Aid, Frisby spends much of his time with residents. He knows the ins and outs of Addison Pointe like the back of his hand, since he’s been with Addison Pointe for 6 years. In fact, Lee was a part of the company’s very first employee orientation!

Frisby has served in many different departments during his 6 years, maintenance being his favorite. Currently, Frisby is in school completing his Qualified Medication Aide license.

During Frisby’s employment, he has earned the title of employee of the month multiple times; he was named Employee of the Year in 2016.

“What I like most about Addison is the residents,” Frisby said. “Knowing I can make a senior smile at work makes my life whole.”

According to Kelly DeYoung at Addison Pointe, “Lee is a very hard worker, and everyone can count on him to give top patient care.”

Hendrich is the Housekeeping and Laundry supervisor at Addison Pointe. Like Frisby, Hendrich has also been with Addison Pointe for 6 years and was a part of the center’s very first employee orientation.

What Hendrich likes the most about working at Addison is the fact that she feels she can offer a clean room and facility for all the residents.

“The residents are my family,” Hendrich said. “I love all of our residents.”

Hendrich has lived in Chesterton her whole life.

“Chesterton is a wonderful small town where everyone knows one another!” Hendrich said.

Outside of work, Hendrich enjoys time with her two boys, who are 22 and 15, and she just recently got engaged. She relishes spending time with family members; in the summer, she and her family love to spend time at the Dunes at Lake Michigan.

According to Kelly DeYoung, “Addison Pointe is very lucky to have such a hard-working, compassionate employee such as Janice.”
