American Legion Post 94 (4 Monroe Street, Valparaiso,IN) is having a pork dinner on Nov. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 pm. - $10 per person. Open to public.

November 23 through December 16 audiences can experience the much beloved holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas live at Chicago Street Theatre located at 154 W Chicago Street in downtown Valparaiso. Tickets for the production range from $15 to $25 per person and can be purchased through the theatre's Box Office at 219-464-1636 X1 or online at ChicagoStreet.org. The theatre enjoys sharing holiday classics with the community in their November and December slot and A Charlie Brown Christmas gave directors, Lisa Formosa-Parmigiano and Kathleen Erny the opportunity to revisit one of their favorites.

This December, experience Ballet 5:8’s twist on the holiday classic The Nutcracker, set in the 1940’s! Featuring Tchaikovsky’s magical score, a cast of over 100 dancers from Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts, guests from the Ballet 5:8 professional company including Lead Artists Brette Benedict and Antonio Rosario, and original choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager. Bring the entire family and join Emma, Uncle Abrahms, and the angel Anastasis on a once-in-a-lifetime Christmas adventure that leads to the story of the first Christmas.

December 1st - Movie Night: Sign of Contradiction
Queen of All Saints Catholic Church: Legacy Center - Michigan City, IN
A pre-theater screening of the film Sign of Contradiction is coming to Queen of All Saints Parish on Saturday, December 1. The film, produced by the Ministry of the Wild Goose and 4PM Media, is a documentary on the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Though St. Francis is one of the most beloved saints in the world, the film begs the question: do we really know him? When the world saw him as a fool, he stood as a sign of contradiction.

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Hammond Holiday Parade Committee invite you to attend the 2018 Hammond Holiday Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1 beginning at 10a. The parade starts at Gavit High School, 1670 – 175th Street, heads east to Indpls. Blvd. turns north on Indpls. Blvd. and proceeds down Indpls. Blvd. to end at the Hammond Sportsplex between 167th and 165th Streets.

Alpha Rho Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Chesterton is hosting a family event called “Santa’s Gingerbread House Decorating Party” on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Hawthorne Park Community Center located at 500 Ackerman Drive in Porter. Children will have the opportunity to decorate their own pre-made gingerbread house, visit with Santa, have fun at the photo booth, and make an additional craft project.
