Crown Point Announces Fourth of July Parade Line-up

The City of Crown Point is pleased to share its Fourth of July Parade Lineup for this year.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, July 4. Parade participants should arrive to Crown Point High School at 9 a.m. Those with vehicles entries should enter the west parking lot entrance across the street from Eisenhower Elementary, while parade walkers should go to bus lot to meet their group. The main entrance of Crown Point High School will be closed for staging.
Main Street will close to north/south traffic from Cleveland Street to Goldsborough Street at 10 a.m. Monday. Cross traffic at Greenwood Avenue, North Street and South Street will be permitted until 10:30 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., cross-traffic access will close.
No parking will be permitted on Main Street from Robinson Street south to Cleveland Street between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until the signs are taken down. Please follow the posted signage for parking restrictions throughout the day.
Court Street will be closed between Greenwood and 121st avenues for the duration of the fireworks display, beginning around 8:30 p.m. until the display is over.
For the first time, the city is asking the community to vote for its favorite parade float by scanning a QR code available on a day-of handout to be passed out before the Fourth of July Parade, or by visiting www.crownpoint.in.gov at 11 a.m. Monday, July 4. Voting will close when the parade ends. Winners will be announced during the August City Council meeting.
The parade is set to wrap up around 12:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 S. Court St., at dusk, around 9 p.m., Monday, July 4. Vendors, including Izzy’s Daddy’s Pizza, Mama Frazz, Crown Creamery, Jax’s Crown Town Grill and Jump Start Novelties, will be at the Fairgrounds from 4-10 p.m.
