Valparaiso Author Featured on CNN

Valparaiso author Kate Collins’ mystery novel, EVIL IN CARNATIONS, was shown on a CNN report from Haiti. It's a touching piece about one young Haitian who lost nearly everything in the earthquake. His only book is a copy of EVIL IN CARNATIONS, and he's using it to learn English. Kate’s book is shown three minutes into the video. EVIL IN CARNATIONS is the eighth book in the best-selling FLOWER SHOP MYSTERY series, and is set in a fictional town based on Valparaiso. Penguin Books featured Kate and EVIL IN CARNATIONS in their PENGUIN SPOTLIGHT this week.

Kate has emailed the CNN reporter to see if it’s possible to donate educational books to further the young man’s studies.
