VHS “A” Band Veteran’s Day Concert
On Sunday, November 7, 2010, the Valparaiso High School “A” Band will be performing a Veteran’s Day Concert as part of its yearly concert series. This will be a free concert of American Music, presented as a Veteran’s Day gift to the community. The concert will begin at 2:30 PM in the VHS auditorium. This is our fourth year performing this concert that salutes America.
Members of the “A” Band have been practicing diligently to prepare the music for this concert. Among the pieces to be performed are:

- Americans We (March) by Henry Fillmore
- Celebration Fanfare by Steven Reineke
- American Overture for Band by Joseph Wilcox Jenkins
- Shenandoah arranged by Frank Ticheli
- Armed Forces Salute by Jay Bocook
- Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa
