Chicago Street Theatre to Host One Night Jam Concert on Sunday, March 15, 2015

Callaghan-British-singer-songwriterChicago Street Theatre's One Night Jam concert series welcomes back UK-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Callaghan to our main stage this Sunday to celebrate the release of her new CD, "A History Of Now."

Callaghan's career really took off after musician Shawn Mullins took notice of her and agreed to produce her debut album in 2012, and she's been gaining in international popularity ever since. Her most recent album was funded by her fans, and she's currently touring in support of the new release.

"I heard her open for Michael McDermott in Chicago," said Paul Braun, series promoter. "My wife and I immediately felt that she needed to be a part of One Night Jam. Her show last year sold out, so this time we moved her to the main auditorium downstairs to allow more fans to experience this wonderful performer.

"She's definitely got her own voice, her own style," said Braun. "But she's been compared to Emmylou Harris and Sarah McLachlan. Her songs range from poignant and dark, to hopeful and inspiring. And occasionally just plain fun."

You can find out more about Callaghan's music at www.callaghansongs.com.

Tickets are only $18, and are available at the theatre box office, 219-464-1636, or online at www.ChicagoStreet.org.
