The US Department of Transportation is currently accepting applications for their National Infrastructure Investments, or TIGER Discretionary Grants, until June 3rd.
The money appropriated for this current round is $474 million for projects that will have a SIGNIFICANT IMPACT on the nation, metropolitan area or region. This is an 80-20 matching grant.
There is a major catch – your project MUST meet all local, state and federal requirements by June 30, 2014…basically “shovel-ready” projects. Minimum request in urban areas is $10 million ($1 million in rural areas), and max is $200 million.

I ask that you please direct all questions to the contacts listed in the application. This program does NOT run through NIRPC.
