To celebrate and finish up a successful five years of bringing concerts to Valparaiso, Imagine Music Production’s owners Rob Harkel and Brad Koeppen couldn’t think of a more perfect artist to bring in than Willie Nile and his band.
Nile, who has performed twice at the Memorial Opera House before said, “What I love about the Opera House is that it has soul and character. It is an American treasure. If the Marx Brothers played here, than I will too!”
“Not only is he a great artist but he is a great person too,” said Harkel.
Harkel and Keoppen are grateful to the community for supporting them in their efforts to bring artists to the area. In return, they have listened to the requests of the audience to bring in more full bands. As a result, tonight’s performance featured not only Nile but his band from New York City, who have played in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. Nile sang and played the guitar. He was accompanied by two vocalists who also played guitars, and a drummer. The band’s performance was energetic with moving guitar riffs and dancing. The crowd was very enthusiastic and welcoming.
Imagine Music Production’s 6th season of concerts will kick off January 25th. The coming year will feature a line of full bands which Harkel and Keoppen are very excited about. Harkel extended thanks to the Memorial opera house staff for making Imagine Music Production’s concerts possible.
