St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6540 Central Ave, Portage, will host the Valparaiso Zone Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Spring Rally on Tuesday evening, April 8. The registration of $4.00 begins at 6:30 p.m. Monique C. Nunes, will be the Inspirational Speaker on the theme “The Cross Shaped Life.” Nunes is the Assistant Director of Multicultural Programs at Valparaiso University. She is an educator and loves to minister through song. She will be singing as well as speaking at the Rally. Nunes came to Valparaiso last fall from Baltimore, Maryland, with her husband, John, the former President and CEO of Lutheran World Relief. John Nunes is now the Jochum Chair and Professor at Valparaiso University.
Founded in 1942, the LWML is the official women's organization of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. The LWML supports mission outreach and personal spiritual development. Although the LWML usually provides programs for and about women, men are also invited to the Spring Rally this year.
The public is invited to come to participate in this inspirational program.
