Purdue University Northwest Presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" Purdue University Northwest students with the North Central Theatre group and Canterbury Winter Arts will present a series of performances of William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” set in Cole Porter’s America of the 1930s and featuring some favorite Cole Porter songs. 

Empty Bowls Project The Empty Bowls Project is a luncheon fundraiser held at Portage High School - Home of the Indians in the West cafeteria. The PHS R.O.T.C. will serve you from a variety of soups (made by Holy Cross and St. Peter's Lutheran churches) with buns/rolls provided by Panera Bread. Tickets are just $5 for the meal. However, if you spend $10 then you'll be able to choose from a great variety of beautiful bowls made by the PHS Art club. 

Sesame Street Live: Make A New Friend No matter where you're from or where you've been, everyone is special - so join in! Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby, and their Sesame Street friends welcome Chamki, Grover's friend from India, to Sesame Street. Together, they explore the universal fun of friendship and celebrate cultural similarities, from singing and dancing, to sharing cookies! Join the fun and make a memory with your friends and family!

8th Annual Open Bowl for Worthy Women Don't miss out on the 8th annual Open Bowl for Worthy Women at Casey's Lane in La Porte! Come out and have fun for a good cause. 

More Than Meets the Eye - Planetarium Showing The Merrillville Community Planetarium presents More Than Meets the Eye, a public program beginning on April 8 and continuing through April 23. The show will be presented on Friday, April 8, 15, and 22, and Saturday, April 16 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. Additional showings may be added if needed. The planetarium opens for seating 30 minutes before the show begins. No one will be admitted after the program starts.

Eagles Tribute Heartache Tonight at Blue Chip April 16 Heartache Tonight, a tribute to the Eagles, performs in the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana on Saturday, April 16 at 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm. 

Will Hoge Concert for Respite House Join us for a benefit concert for Respite House -- a halfway house for men seeking recovery from the disease of addiction and alcoholism in Porter County. A collaborative effort motivated by volunteers recognizing this need, Respite House opened it's doors in Valparaiso in December of 2009. The initial cost of purchase and renovation was financed by the Porter County Council and County Commissioners.As a 501 (C)(3) charitable organization, operation of Respite House is completely funded through resident service fees, grants, and donations.
