But if you’re feeling overwhelmed about stepping into a million square feet of automobile awesomeness, here’s an exclusive peek into what to be looking out for from some of Northwest Indiana’s top car dealers (And you'll be surprised what's turning a couple experts' heads):
David Brubaker (Team Chevy Valparaiso)
“While visiting the Auto Show make sure you visit the Chevrolet Display and see the ALL-New 2018 Traverse! Completely redesigned with a more spacious interior, technology that helps you stay connected, and bold good looks, the all-new 2018 Traverse isn’t just an SUV — it’s the command center for you and your family’s go-everywhere, do-everything lifestyle. Also do not miss our Line up of sports cars w/ the 50th Anniversary 2017 Camaro, and of course the Z06 Corvette!"
Tom Little (Harbor Automotive)
“There are two SUV’s from GM I am most excited about this year for the Chicago Auto Show. First is the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain, which has been completely re-designed with some new engine options; 1.5L and a 2.0L Turbo Charged 4cly, along with the 1.6L diesel 4cly. The gas engines come with a 9 speed automatic transmission and the diesel will come with a 6 speed automatic transmission, and as always being a techie, I love all the new superior technology in the 2018 GMC Terrain.
One step up from the GMC Terrain is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, which also has been completely re-designed and comes with the 2.0L turbo charged 4cyl engine and the 3.6L V6. So along with the new hot and sleek design, you get some new engine options and superior technology.
Both come in front wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.”
Courtney Medina (Sauers Auto)
“We are very excited for the Chicago Auto show and all GM has to offer this year! Around this time we start to see some great rebates as a result of the Chicago Auto Show. There is no better time to get out of the “winter slum” and take advantage of these great incentives!”
Glenn Muller (Muller Acura of Merrillville)
“Traditionally the auto show has started the selling season for Chicago Dealers. It brings awareness back to the car market. Traditionally, every year it’s the start of the selling season, for which we are ready!”
Daenen Bedie (Thomas Kia of Highland)
“We are truly excited about the extra rebates that we are adding to our vehicles, going into our busiest time of the year. Our current promotion is a $500 rebate on Kia Optimas, Kia Sorentos, and Kia Fortes!”
