Despite the cold weather on Friday November 16th, members of the Cedar Lake Town Council and Chester Inc. were outside with hardhats and shovels celebrating a groundbreaking ceremony in Cedar Lake.
“I want to welcome everybody to the groundbreaking ceremony for Tech Credit Union constructed by Chester Inc.,” said Robert Hanna Carnahan, Cedar Lake Town Council member and Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce President. “I am looking forward to the greatness that will come out of this project for the town of Cedar Lake.”
“The groundbreaking ceremony was to honor the first steps of construction for the newest location of Tech Credit Union. It is expected to be finished and opened by the early months of 2019. Tech Credit Union proudly runs 8 branches with 6 being in Northwest Indiana. This location in will be the first of its kind in the Cedar Lake area. The newest branch is located on West 133rd Avenue in Cedar Lake, right next to the U.S. Post Office. It will feature drive-up lanes, a 24-hour ATM, and a full-service lobby. The new branch is being constructed by Chester Inc., who also designed the architectural aspect of the building.
“This project gives a great opportunity to bring in a new Credit Union to the city of Cedar Lake,” said Rich Shields, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Chester Inc. “Our work on this project is a great way to give back to the local community, which we love doing.”
Chester Inc. is structured into three primary divisions: Architectural and Construction, Information Technologies, and Agricultural Systems. For more information about the developmental work Chester Inc. does within the region visit https://www.chesterinc.com/.
