Century 21 Alliance Group hosts award dinner

It was a very special night for all who attended this year’s Century 21 Alliance Group Awards Ceremony. Owner Jeanne Sommer invited her team to eat, drink, laugh, and celebrate. For most, this was the first time they’ve been in a room together since before the pandemic hit. These annual awards would typically take place in the spring, commemorating service from the year prior. However, due to the pandemic, the ceremony was postponed until now.

It meant a lot for these agents and support staff to join together and lift each other up. It was a time to reflect -- a time to recognize how intense the last year and a half has been with the very competitive sales market and the challenges real estate faces in the time of COVID-19.

Bryan Bennett, real estate agent of seventeen years, noted it can be a bit harder to create personal connections with clients now, when so much business is done via text and email.

“There is a lot more caution taken now. We need to get back to leaving those personal touches, building those personal relationships,” Bennett said.

Corporate Representative and Growth Consultant Kyler Welch drove up from Indianapolis with his wife, Amy, to show his undying support for this team.

“This team is one of the best,” said Welch.

Acknowledging the Alliance Group’s position as the number three Century 21 business in the state of Indiana, Welch said, “You basically dominate this northwest corner. You had an incredible COVID run. Let’s hope that’s over, right, COVID is over, but let’s keep the run going for sure. It matters what you did. You kept going and I’m going to say kudos to all of you for what you did during this last year and I’m sure this year.”

The office received the highest production award which is the Centurion Award. The Jeanne Sommer Team also received the Centurion Team Award that recognizes the highest production.

Winning the 2020 Masters Ruby Award was Bryan Bennett and Natalie Worstell for selling 32 to 42 units last year.

Dave Gring received the 2020 Quality Service Pinnacle Producer Award for back-to-back years of Quality Service with an Overall Rating of 95%. Terry McCaleb and Mark Horstmann also received the Quality Service Team Award for an overall rating of 95%. Several agents, including Teresa Smith, Sandra Schaffer and Jennifer Luce, also received the 2020 Quality Service Producer Award for an overall rating of 90%.

Welch passionately expressed his gratitude for Nick and Jeanne Sommer.

“These are the best quality people that I know, and I don’t know how much you realize how lucky it is to have Nick and Jeanne to be running this company,” he said.

Nick Sommer, Vice President of Century 21 Alliance Group, spoke about how wonderful it has been to see the agents rise to challenges.

“We’re doing things differently. We’re faster. We’re more nimble. We’re able to deal with clients and communicate in so many different methods than we were used to, but the culture is still there. The culture will never leave. It’s what you all have made it, and we really appreciate that and are grateful for that,” Nick said.

Jeanne wholeheartedly agreed with Nick.

“That’s true. It’s still about relationships with each other,” Sommer said.
