BucherTech adds four veteran staff members to ownership team

For years, Tim Bucher’s leadership as founder, president, and owner of Bucher Technologies (BucherTech), along with the expert work of its staff and technicians, allowed the IT services company to grow and continually improve its service. Now, Bucher is welcoming four new stakeholders to the ownership table: Ben Bucher, Ryan Turner, Dustin Bucher, and Bryan Brown.

Each of these men joined the BucherTech team years ago, each in different roles and bringing unique skillsets along with them: sales, systems engineering, operations, and many tasks beyond their official titles. Tim Bucher saw the things they were accomplishing – and the initiative they consistently took to take BucherTech to new heights, such as Ben Bucher’s work in operations.

“I really enjoy improving our systems and finding new and better ways to serve our clients,” Ben Bucher said. “As technology changes, the market does as well. IT has allowed for increased innovation at an exponential rate, I’m excited to see what the future holds!”

The new stakeholders bring decades of combined IT experience to the team, and not just with the technical side of things, but in how to craft their services to best fit their clients’ needs.

“We have many areas to continue improving, besides the cycle of technology, to keep up with our industry changes,” said Turner. “We are looking to expand our sales and grow our client base, as most businesses are, but also to turn more of our products into services that can be part of our monthly fee, including Network as a service and SMB Desktop as a service, which we have been doing Proof of Concept deployments of already.”

The team also looks to lead the way in the most important task for any IT services provider – keep its clients secure. Just as IT companies and software developers constantly work to make new security measures, bad actors continue looking for ways to break through them.

“Security is about 70% of our work these days as it affects even just the basic setup of a new computer,” Turner said. “There are thousands of new threats each day, so having a security framework that protects your endpoints, network, and data is a landscape that requires a flexible yet cost effective set of solutions for our clients.”

Brown, long responsible for implementing large parts of that framework such as email, backups, firewalls, and servers, sees the new role as making the mentality he has had for years official.

“I’ve always taken every task I’ve been championed with personally as if I were an owner,” he said. “So, actually being an owner won’t really change how I go about representing BucherTech, supporting our customers, and tackling my responsibilities.”

Dustin Bucher echoed Brown's sentiments - noting that the team's common commitment to service is one of the key factors that allowed BucherTech to grow to this point.

"We’ve always been a team that strives to better meet client’s needs in information services, be it through improved utilities, methodologies, or communication," he said. " Being a member of this team has helped my growth in consulting and technical skills all along the way, and I’m glad to be a part of it. Ownership in Buchertech is an extension of hard work, dedication and gratitude to a shared vision of excellence in an ever changing field!"

The two Buchers, Brown, and Turner are looking forward to working with Tim Bucher to continue caring for and expanding their client base.

“I’m thankful for the team we have and the mentality that’s always been in place,” Ben Bucher said. “For over 20 years it’s always been the same philosophy - serving the client first.”
