Come to Lubeznik to see some new art exhibits
Head over to Lubeznik Center for the Arts on Friday, October 7, for the opening reception for two new art exhibits. The show will feature works from local artists Makayla Brooks and Yuna Choi in a joint exhibition, and will also feature Joan Spohrer’s solo show. Head to La Porte for the Purple Xperience, the nation’s top Prince tribute
Performing at the La Porte Civic Auditorium on Saturday, Oct. 8 is The Purple Xperienc – the nation’s only Prince Tribute band licensed by the Prince Foundation. Binversie said Early Bird General Admission Balcony Seating is available for $15 through Aug. 31. After that, balcony tickets are $20. Anyone who orders a Domino’s pizza may be randomly selected and surprised at the door when their pizza arrives accompanied by a fire engine. If the smoke alarms in the home are working, the pizza is free. If the smoke alarms are not working, the firefighters will install fully functioning alarms or replace the batteries. Friday night lights are back for another round of great and exciting football matchups in the Region! This week, come watch La Porte County rivals battle it out for the win as the La Porte Slicers take on the Michigan City Wolves. We also have the Crown Point Bulldogs up against the Chesterton Trojans, so it’s sure to be an action-packed night no matter where in the area you’re at.
