South Shore Line to offer free eastbound rides for Valentine’s Day

To show appreciation to riders, the South Shore Line (SSL) is offering free  eastbound rides on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2023, on all trains. Riders will be responsible  for paying applicable fares on their westbound trips.

“We are excited to offer free eastbound rides for Valentine’s Day as a way of thanking our  riders for their loyalty and support. During this exciting time of growth at the SSL and the  expansion of our line, we appreciate our rider’s continued patience with our service changes  that are necessary for completing our Double Track NWI project,” commented Mike Noland,  President of South Shore Line. “We understand that our riders depend on the SSL to get to  where they need to go, so we are looking forward to the completion of our line expansion so  that they can take advantage of our quicker ride times.”

For more information on train schedules, discounts, and to plan a trip, please visit  mysouthshoreline.com or download the SSL app (available for iPhone and Android).  Throughout the year, the SSL offers various promotions and opportunities for free rides. You  can also take advantage of the Kids Ride Free program, allowing up to three children 13 years of  age and under to ride free with each paying parent or guardian on off-peak weekday and all  weekend trains.
