Hello! My name is Stephanie Ufkin, and I’ve been a Nurse Practitioner at Center for Hospice Care for a little over 4 years. I am a wife of 8 years and a mom of two beautiful girls ages 3 and 1. After graduating with my MSN in 2019, I planned to become a primary care family nurse practitioner.
Center for Hospice Care seemed like a good place to gain some experience before moving on after a year or two. As usual, the Lord had different plans for my life. I fell in love with every aspect of the hospice philosophy. The multidisciplinary model of hospice allows us to offer our patients wholistic care for mind, body, and spirit. The pace is slower than most other areas of healthcare, which permits me to truly connect with my patients and their families. Being able to come alongside people during this sacred time of life is an honor that I will always cherish.
