Forbes: Community Healthcare System one of America’s Best Employers for New Grads

Community Healthcare System, now Powers Health, has landed in the top 20% on Forbes’ 2024 list of America’s Best Employers for New Grads.

To compile the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed more than 100,000 young professionals working for companies with at least 1,000 employees in the United States. Community Healthcare System ranked No. 83 out of 400 employers on the list. No other Northwest Indiana healthcare employer made the list.

“As a healthcare leader, we want to attract the best medical professionals to our hospitals. We are thrilled and honored to learn of our spot of Forbes’ 2024 list of America’s Best Employers for New Grads,” said Donald P. Fesko, President and CEO of Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, Inc., d/b/a Powers Health. “We prioritize our medical and professional teams and ensure they are appreciated, acknowledged and given opportunities to grow.”

For the survey, respondents were asked if they would recommend their employer to others and to rate their organization in compensation, benefits, advancement opportunities, working conditions, flexibility, company image and inclusion. Surveys were conducted over the past three years.

In 2023, Community Healthcare System earned the No. 1 spot on Forbes magazine’s list of America’s Best Employers for the state of Indiana.

“We are proud to be known as an organization that cares about and promotes our team members,” Fesko said. “Community Healthcare System’s placement on both of these recent Forbes lists is a testament to our commitment to growing and nurturing a staff who is dedicated to advancing the health, well-being and quality of life to those who call Northwest Indiana home.”
