Juniors and Seniors in high school interested in joining the trades after graduation are invited to attend a Trades Camp sponsored by Kankakee Valley REMC.
This one-day event will include professionals from the following trades: electricians, carpenters, pipefitters, plumbers, operators, sprinkler fitters, bricklayers and journeyman linemen.
What Will the Camp Include?
The event will occur at the Kankakee Valley REMC headquarters in Wanatah on October 3, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The morning will allow attendees to learn more about each trade, what a day in the life of the trade looks like, and what students can do now to beat prepare to enter the workforce.
The afternoon sessions will include hands-on activities led by trades professionals.
DEADLINE: Space is limited to the first 50 people who sign-up.

Kankakee Valley REMC Trades Camp provides students the opportunity to experience a variety of trades to help them explore their career interest and connect with professionals in the industry. Trades camp will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. CT at Kankakee Valley REMC, 8642 W. US Hwy 30, Wanatah, IN. Space is limited to the first 50 students who enroll.
