City Hall and all other Michigan City municipal government offices will be closed to the
public on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day;
as well as Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Bus service also will not operate on those four days.
Both weeks, the Refuse Department will pick up their normal routes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and
Friday.
Those whose trash is normally collected on Wednesdays should place your toters out before 7 a.m. on
Thursday, and they will be picked up as Refuse is able to collect them throughout Thursday and Friday.
