Valparaiso Boys XC are heading to the State Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute! Valpo swept the semi-state competitions at the New Prairie course, as both the boys and the girls placed first for the VHS XC Teams. It was the Valparaiso boys' first win semi-state meet since 2005. Great Job Valpo XC!!!
Several schools competed in the competition; Merrillville, North Miami, Hanover Central, Frankfort, Eastern, Clinton Prairie, Benton Central, Tri County, Hebron, Highland, Lake Central, Rensselare, Rochester, Northfield, Carrol/Flora, Logansport, Harrison, Western, Culver Academy, McCutcheon, Lowell, Andrean, Maconoquah, Lafayette Jefferson, Hobart, Portage, New Prairie, and the top 6 schools:

4th West Lafayette 131 points
3rd LaPorte 126 points
2nd Chesterton 120 points

Congratulations to Valparaiso High School Boys Cross County on accomplishing a Semi-State win, clinching their place in the State Meet, held in Terre Haute, IN Saturday Oct. 30, 2010 Boys are scheduled to run at 12:00pm (central time). Come & Cheer for our Champions!!! State Meet will be at the Wabash Family Sports Center. It is the Lavern Gibson Championship Course. Wear your Valpo Green & White!
