Imagine Music Concert Series Presents Will Hoge 
Coming to the Memorial Opera House on Friday, February 6, 2015 7:30pm, Will Hoge will make his mark in the Imagine Music Concert Series. Will Hoge is an American singer, songwriter and musician from Nashville, Tennessee. Hoge grew up in Franklin Tennessee, a rural suburb of Nashville. His sound is heavily influenced by his musician father and uncles and the extensive record collection his father kept.

Opening Reception for Steamroller Printmaking Project and Work Local: Art Meets Industry at LCA 
Lubeznik Center for the Arts will hold an opening reception for the Steamroller Printmaking Project and Work Local: Art Meets Industry during the February First Friday art walk. Steamroller Printmaking Project (Hyndman Gallery) exhibiting artists include: Janet Bloch, Lora Fosberg, Laurel Izard, Suzanne Cohan-Lange & Richard Lange, Julia Neilsen, Andrea Peterson & Mary Uthuppuru, Nichole Renee Sheaffer, Michael Bill Smith, Tom Torluemke, Melissa Washburn, and Jay Zerbe. Work Local: Art Meets Industry exhibiting artists include: Jon Hook, Paul Pettigrew, Lee Purcell, Eric Tucker, and Illinois Institute of Technology graduate students.

La Porte High School to Induct 6 Into Athletics Hall of Fame 
On February 6th the La Porte High School Athletic Department will induct Karen Day, Chip Jones, Rich Lenard, Joe Otis, Mark Scott and Irv Swanson into the Hubner Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction will take place between the JV and Varsity boys basketball game vs Valparaiso.

Munster Theatre Company to Present "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in February 2015 
The Munster Theatre Company of Munster High School is pleased to present its winter production of the Craig W. Stump’s stage adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel, Hunchback of Notre Dame. Produced by Larry A Brechner and Carol Lynn Brechner, this full-length, student-directed production will feature co-directors Allison Hemingway and Hayley Kwasneiwski, and Assistant Director Thomas Speranza.

Hometown Happenings to Host PJ Party 
Hometown Happenings & Safe House Bar & Grill cordially invite you to a Pajama Party! Wear your Pajamas & help those in NEED! Portage Parks' 2015 Daddy Daughter Dance Promises to Be a Delight 
Portage Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce registration is open for the 2015 Daddy Daughter Dance taking place from 6-8:30 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 in the Oakwood Hall. The dance is a time for girls to be honored, loved and to create lasting family memories. Daughters of all ages are encouraged to attend, from toddlers to adults.

Find a Place to Go Sledding! 
The sledding hills at Oak Ridge Prairie and Lemon Lake will be open through March when an adequate snow base allows. Call after 9 am to see if the hills are open before you come out (visit our friends at the South Shore CVA for their suggestions). Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, home of the Lake County Fair in the summer, is another favorite place to go flying down the hill. In Valparaiso, Rogers-Lakewood Park and Forest Park Golf Course are both great places to sled.

Something New is Brewing at the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, Announcing the Inaugural Shelf Ice Brew Fest 
The first ever Shelf Ice Brew Fest will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 1-5pm, (VIP entry at noon), located outdoors on Franklin Street between 6th and 8th Streets to highlight the best brew masters in the region. Attendees can expect to sample hundreds of brews, enjoy artisan foods, view chainsaw wielding ice carvers, all under the dazzling display of lights on Franklin Street. Food will be provided by Green Machine, Pickle & Turnip, Miller’s Pizza, Pines Lounge, Hungry, Inc., Arturo’s Baked Goods, Cool Running’s, Crawford’s and LeRoy’s Hot Stuff.

Valparaiso Bands Presents 4th Annual Epic Film Music Concert 
On Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 7:30 p.m., the Valparaiso Community Schools Band Program and the Valparaiso University Bands join forces to present a concert featuring epic film music. The program will feature music from: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, music by Michael Kamen, The Mask of Zorro, music by James Horner, Pirates of the Caribbean, music by Klaus Badelt, The Hunger Games, music by James Newton Howard, and Captain America: The First Avenger, music by Alan Silvestri.
