The Porter County Career and Technical Center’s Video and Media Productions class will be broadcasting Friday night’s Valparaiso High School boys basketball game live on ValpoLife.com, as they host the Chesterton Trojans in a DAC battle.

Winter Dazzle
The fun begins on Friday, February 4 with free horse drawn wagon rides and live ice carvings from 5pm to 7pm. Ice carvings can be found by Lifestyles, rTrail Collective Edge, Pikk's Tavern/Bon Femme Cafe, Bistro 157, Old World Market and on the courthouse square by the Valparaiso Community Festivals and Events (VCFE) tent where the first 500 kids can pick up a special winter treat that is sure to bring a glow to their faces.

North Shore Gives Kids a Smile!
North Shore Health is working to Give Kids a Smile! For one day only, Friday, February 4, 2011, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, uninsured children ages 4-16 can receive FREE dental examinations, x-rays, cleanings, and an electronic spin tooth brush!
2011 Winter Showcase and Dinner
After a successful fall season of performances and competition events, the Chesterton High School Music program will present its annual Winter Showcase and Dinner at Chesterton High School on Saturday, February 5th. This event will feature the CHS Sandpipers, Drifters, and Show Choir Band presenting the premiere performances of their 2011 competition programs.
Heartsaver AED CPR Course
The Heartsaver AED course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking, as well as use of barrier devices. Designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This course is 3 to 3½ hours long, and grants the Heartsaver AED course completion card.
Spring Youth Soccer Registration
Portage Parks' soccer program is designed to be a fun, recreational activity that emphasizes safety, sportsmanship, and skill development. Season will run seven weeks including tournament for ages 5yrs and older on the final week. Games are held morning to early afternoon.
