On May 19, 2012, the Valparaiso Police will host a 5K run and 1 mile dog walk at Central Park Plaza. The race, held rain or shine, will start at 9 am, followed by the walk at 9:15 am. The course is a road course, with moderate hills.
Pre-register at www.thtiming.com or mail registration form to 355 Washington St, Valparaiso, IN 46383, attn T. Kobitz. Pre-registration cost is $20, $23 the day of the race. Kids 12 and under are $13 for the walk.
The event will take place from 9 am to 3 pm. Following the race, there will be entertainment, food, and demonstrations. All proceeds will be donated for the purchase of a new K9 and K9 Unit expenses.
