Fireworks on the Lakefront
The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will host the 8th Annual Fireworks on the Lakefront event on Thursday, June 29, 2017. The event will take place at the Indiana Dunes State Park & the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Join the Chamber and Parks for food vendors and a spectacular fireworks show. Food vendors will begin selling at 6:00 pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9:15 pm.

36th Annual Cedar Lake Summerfest June 30 - July 4, 2017
The volunteers of the Cedar Lake Summerfest Committee are putting on this five day festival that showcases a variety of activities for the whole family- to provide our community and visitors with a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. The five days will include; a carnival, live entertainment, bingo, beer garden, food vendors, and merchant vendors and of course fireworks. 4th of July Fireworks Show in Schererville at Dusk
A fireworks show will be held at Rohrman Park to celebrate the 4th of July. Every year the Schererville Parks and Recreation department hosts a fireworks show at Rohrman Park a few days prior to the 4th of July. The show starts at dusk. Those wishing to attend should try to come early. Bring chairs, blankets, and snacks. In the event the Fireworks show is cancelled due to weather, the time will be changed to Sunday, July 2nd at dusk.

Michigan City Star Spangled Bicentennial Parade
11am - 2pm Join us as we celebrate Independence Day and America’s Heroes in beautiful Michigan City, Indiana! This year's Patriotic Parade will be held on Saturday, July 1 and starts at 11 AM CST. Registration for the Valpo Parks 2nd Annual 4th of July Blast 5K Run/Walk on Tuesday, July 4 is open online at RunSignUp.com. The run/walk starts at 7:30 a.m. from Foundation Meadows Park, 3210 N. Campbell Street, Valparaiso. All ages and abilities are invited to participate. This year’s event offers a scenic tour through Valparaiso’s west side using roadways and the new Vale Park West pathway.
City of Gary Independence Day Parade 2017

La Porte 71st Annual 4th of July Parade

The largest parade in the state of Indiana begins on the East side of La Porte on Lincolnway and continues down a 2.5 mile route to the West Side of La Porte. The Parade may be televised live on a local cable station and there will be live radio coverage from start to finish. The Parade will begin at 10:00 am and will last approximately 2-3 hours.

Valparaiso 4th of July Blast Celebration

Foundation Meadows Park and Valparaiso High School are nearby parking options with access via the Vale Park Road pathway leading to the new event site.
Michigan City 4th of July Fireworks

Come out and enjoy all of the 4th of July festivities in beautiful Washington Park. While in the park, take advantage of the beautiful beaches, splash park, Old Lighthouse Museum and the Washington Park Zoo. Fireworks begin at dusk.
2017 Crown Point 4th of July Fireworks Display
9 PM - 9:30 PM
The Fireworks Display is at the Lake County Fairgrounds and early arrival is recommended. Vehicles may enter through the Greenwood/Court Street Gate or the South Gate on 121st Street. The 4-H building entrance is for pedestrians only. Lake Street will be closed to traffic and no viewing of the show will be permitted there, by order of the Crown Point Police Department. The event starts at dusk which is generally around 9:00 PM but can start earlier or a bit later. Fireworks will last roughly 30 minutes with corresponding music to the display. Melrose Pyrotechnics is providing the Fireworks Display and corresponding music with Fire Star DJ and Karaoke Entertainment providing the sound system. Mike Anderson Chevrolet is sponsoring this event with this year being the 6th year in a row for sponsorship.
South Haven 4th of July Parade
For any registered girl in Troops 30057, 30259, 30375 and 35121 who would like to WALK in the South Haven 4th of July Parade. We will meet at Paul Saylor school at 3:00 pm and finalize decorations and WALK to the American Legion Post 502 where parents should pick up the girls who participated. There will be refreshments served by the Legion.
Asking each girl to bring candy to TOSS along the route between Paul Saylor and South Haven. It is NOT for the girls to eat/keep.
Town of Porter Family 4th Fest
Family fun on the 4th of July. Parade 9am begins at Yost Elementary School and ends in Hawthorne Park. Free games and activities for kids. Lions Club pancake breakfast 7-11am, Turtle Derby 11am (for details see Chesterton Lions website), bounce houses, music, beer garden, food and fireworks at dusk.
Lakes of the Four Seasons 4th of July Parade
Come join us this year in the LOFS 4th of July parade. If you own a golf cart and would like to participate, let us know. We will be supplying the goodies to throw to the parade goers, so make sure you RSVP in order to make sure we have an ample supply! Come on out and have a great time!

4th of July Fireworks Display and Open Pit Barbeque Dinner
A joint project between the Chamber of Commerce and the Koselke-Mayfield post of the American Legion in Wanatah, this event features a variety of activities the whole family can enjoy. It starts in the afternoon with the Hawg Creek Duck race and an Open Pit BBQ Dinner. Following the fireworks display at dusk, there is a dance in the Legion hall for those over 21. Held the first Saturday after the 4th of July.
