A Century 21 Alliance Group Employee Spotlight: Mark Horstmann

New doors open when you least expect it, and one of Century 21 Alliance Group’s new agents, Mark Horstmann, knows this first-hand. At the end of 2019, Horstmann decided to walk through the real estate threshold when signs guided him to do so.

“Prior to me changing careers and getting into real estate, my wife went with Century 21 Alliance Group. Our real estate agent, when we bought our current house, was with Century 21 Alliance Group,” Horstmann said.

After obtaining his license the previous November, Horstmann closed the door behind him, knowing he made the right decision.

“When it came time for me to place my life into a company, it was a no-brainer,” he said.

Horstmann officially started with Century 21 Alliance Group at the beginning of 2020 as an independent contractor with his wife by his side. He has since enjoyed the support system he found with his new family.

“Century 21 Alliance Group is one of the best in the industry. They’ve been around for decades. The owners are great people on top of the fact that we have a supportive team to back us up,” Horstmann said.

Quickly, Horstmann found excitement in every step of the buying and selling process, ending with him giving his clients the key to their own new door.

“I give my full attention to my client’s needs 24/7. I want to make sure I am there to answer any questions and help them out in any way, shape, or form,” he said. “Finding that right place, right price, and right location for them. Taking clients from house to house and learning their true needs.”

Horstmann’s relationships with his clients also make his career in real estate worthwhile.

“We’re always there for our clients, for whatever their needs are. Our phones are always open to people.”

In their free time, Horstmann and his wife love admiring architecture, kayaking in Lake George, or cruising around town in their vintage motorcycles.

“We like getting as much road time as we can,” he said.

Whether it’s inside or outside the agency, Horstmann shares this piece of advice to finding your newest door to open:

“Growth is always important when it comes to you personally and professionally. There are so many aspects of growth - mental health, physical health, and experiences as well.”
