A Levin Tire Employee Spotlight: Trevor Haemker

A Levin Tire Employee Spotlight: Trevor Haemker

It’s no secret that vehicles are quite prominent in the Region’s day-to-day life. It’s what allows many to commute to and from work, special gatherings, and just about everything else that helps people stay connected to their communities. That’s why, when the service lights come on, Northwest Indiana is always ready to ride into Levin Tire & Service Center. With multiple locations throughout the Region, customers know their valuable possession is in good hands while being worked on by its quality staff, including Automotive Technician Trevor Haemker.

Haemker is a part of the crew at Levin’s newest location, located just off of Broadway in Crown Point, and the company’s second location in the area overall. The shop can fix most anything when it comes to cars, and no matter the issue, Haemker is typically right at the scene of the action from the moment they enter the shop to the very last touch.

“I can usually be found doing work on cars, checking engine lights, brakes, suspension, and things of that nature,” Haemker said.

In fact, Haemker has always had a strong passion for cars and working in the automotive industry. While he has only been at the Crown Point location since July 1, Haemker has been a tried and true member of the Levin crew for over five years, previously working at the company’s Highland shop. He is looking forward to furthering that interest even more.

“I have just always liked working on cars in general,” Haemker said.

Haemker was additionally beyond excited to make the move across Lake County and set up shop at the new location. While it just recently opened its doors to the public, the road to get there was a long time coming, and Haemker is thrilled that it’s finally up and running.

“It feels really good to see that our new location is finally open,” Haemker said.

Haemker can now bring his skills to assist those in the southern portion of Lake County. Aside from the location, Haemker is already a master at his craft, so the typical day ins and outs will be pretty similar to the years before, and that familiarity, he noted, is definitely a comfort to have.

“It's roughly the same – not much has changed with the job itself, but it helps with the transition,” Haemker said.

However, while the work itself is fairly similar, his new workspace will be just the opposite - in fact, Levin’s new Crown Point location is its biggest yet, meaning even more vehicles can be serviced at any given time.

“This is definitely a bigger shop – we can handle a lot more cars now. Having this shop here is going to be great for Crown Point,” said Haemker.

Additionally, by having a second Crown Point location, the local community has an increased access to Levin’s quality, reliable auto care. The area is currently a buzzing place to be, with many new homes, subdivisions, and businesses on the horizon, and to be able to service this up and coming community is an honor for Haemker.

“By having this location here, Crown Point can gain another tire shop and auto repair shop, which is something that’s really exciting to see,” Haemker said.
