Ada Isabelle Ruwersma, 79, of Valparaiso, passed away on May 31, 2014. She was born on July 23, 1934, in Wheeler, to John and Florence (Cuson) Conrick. On May 5, 1956, in Crown Point, she married Harmon E. Ruwersma who survives. Ada worked for Holiday Inn for 11 years. She is survived by; her daughters Diana Smith of Valparaiso and Marjorie Blair of Portage, and son Robert Ruwersma of Chesterton. Ada is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers James Kenneth, Jack and Vernon Conrick and sisters Marilyn Sibo and Virginia Ferry. A visitation for Ada will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Bartholomew Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM. The family will have a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice.
