Barak Coolman Named New VHS Boys’ Basketball Coach

viking-signThe Valparaiso High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the next head boy’s basketball coach at Valparaiso High School will be Barak Coolman, pending board approval.

Barak has been the head coach at Northrop High School in Fort Wayne Indiana the past 7 years after serving as an assistant for 1 year. He has attained a record of 102 win against 62 losses. During this time at Northrop his teams have won 3 sectional championships and 1 runner-up.

He has also been an assistant coach at Homestead for 3 years. Out of college he coached 4 years at Bethel College as a varsity assistant. Barak also played at Bethel College and was on a NCCAA national championship team and on a NAIA national championship runner-up team.
