In fashion, with clothing or with decorating and designing homes, accessorizing makes all the difference in the world. This edition will give some idea’s that can inexpensively make ordinary extraordinary!!

Breaking up china, using pennies, or even marbles can be inserted in ordinary tile for kitchen backsplashes. Everyone loves a story! What better way to use items that will be a comforting reminder of childhood memories by inserting heirlooms to be viewed everyday. Whatever the style or the look that is desired, there are so many accent pieces available that can be purchased very reasonably. Metals, glass, stones, and hand painted tiles are available to create looks that are as individual as one’s taste may be.

If one feels crafty, a floor cloth can be painted using felt backed vinyl flooring as a canvas to create a hard surface area rug. This has been a great source of inexpensive family enjoyment and can be a practical as well as creating an heirloom. Stenciling, hand prints of children, using bold and exciting colors can be used to make a room pop as well as making the mat very personal to the end user.

Vinyl tile has come a long way and can be customized using ceramic tile and wood looks in combination to compliment any room. Borders, feature strips, installing on a diagonal or staggered can be very effective way to enhance any room. The lay-out of floors can make rooms look larger as well as giving it a customized pattern that can be designed very reasonably.

Area rugs can be purchased very inexpensively to be changed out with the seasons. If a child is getting ready to go to college, what a great investment this is to be used now, but also given to the student to remind them of home. Broadloom carpets can be cut in any size to be made into runners or an area rug. Animal prints such as zebra, long shags, refined patterns, or solid colors can be made to accessorize specific area’s in the home.
