The Family and Youth Services Bureau has received more than 300 books donated by patrons of the Valparaiso Barnes& Noble Booksellers as part of the store's Holiday Book Drive. Customers who purchase books this November and December are asked if they want to also donate a book to an area social service organization.
"We are so grateful to Barnes& Noble and the people of the area who have chosen to make these gifts to the families and youths in our community," said Dennis Morgan, President and CEO of the Family& Youth Services Bureau.
Books donated to Family& Youth Services Bureau through this drive will be distributed to participants in one of more than ten programs the agency offers as a resource to families in Porter County and Northwest Indiana throughout the year. The Holiday Book Drive at the Valparaiso Barnes& Noble Booksellers runs through December 2011.
