Boys and Girls Club Soccer Registration Closes December 6

valpo-soccer-registration-closing-2013Parents of youth ages 5-12 can help their children have fun and stay active this winter by signing them up for co-ed youth indoor soccer leagues at Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Valparaiso Unit. Registration ends on December 6, 2013 and divisions are filling up quickly. The co-ed indoor soccer league focuses on skill development, good sportsmanship and fair play. Participants will get a “kick” out of having equal playing time, developing their skills and making new friends.

Register online at bgcpoco.org anytime now through December 6th. Parents may also register their children at the Club (354 W. Jefferson Street, Valparaiso) between 4:00-8:00 PM now through December 6th.

Basketball league fees are $25.00 for the 5-7 year old division, $30.00 for the 8-9 year and 10-12 year old divisions. There are limited number of available spots for each age division. League fees include a T-shirt for players and a medal at the end of the season. All players must have a Club membership. Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County offers affordable $35.00 annual memberships. Financial aid for membership and athletic league fees are available for those who qualify.

The winter co-ed soccer league begins January 6, 2014 and ends March 15, 2014. For more information about the soccer league, please call Tommy John at 462-2182.

Volunteers are needed for coaching positions. Individuals interested in coaching can contact Tommy John, Valparaiso Program Director, at 219-462-2182 or via email at tjohn@bgcpoco.org. Coaches are required to complete a background screening successfully and attend a mandatory Coach’s meeting.
