Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Welcomes New Member to the Board of Directors

Chris-CampbellBoys & Girls Clubs of Porter County welcomed a new member, Chris Campbell, to the Board of Directors at the June 15, 2015 meeting. Campbell joins Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Board of Directors at an important time with the organization developing a new strategic plan and moving to expand programs that seek to build the academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship of Porter County youth.

“Our Clubs proudly welcome our newest Board member, Chris Campbell, who will bring his talent, expertise and energy to our mission. I am honored to have Chris serve alongside our Clubs as we explore new and exciting opportunities for inspiring and enabling the youth of our communities to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens,” states Ryan Smiley, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County.

Senior Vice President and Market President for Centier Bank, Chris Campbell serves on a number of non-profit Boards including the Porter Starke Foundation Board, Valparaiso Community Festivals and Events Board, and Valparaiso Parks Foundation Board. He also is the chair of the EF Wildermuth Foundation. Most recently, he joined the Board of Directors of Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority. Campbell is proud to give back to his community to ensure the success of businesses, education, and residents. He began his three-year term with Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Board of Directors upon their unanimous vote at the June 15 Board meeting.

For more than forty years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County (bgcpoco.org) has enabled young people to achieve GREAT futures as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Four Club sites and nine Kidstop locations throughout Porter County serve nearly 5,000 young people annually through Club membership and community outreach.
