Calling All Hospitality Businesses in NWI

Increase your business’s exposure by partnering with the SSCVA

The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority (SSCVA) is inviting the hospitality industry to their annual Partnership Summit at the Indiana Welcome Center (7770 Corrine Dr., Hammond) on November 14. Whether you are an attraction, accommodation, restaurant, small shop, city/town, or brewery/winery, our partners receive exposure to the South Shore's nearly 6.5 million visitors, as well as residents of Northwest Indiana.

"The outlook for economic growth in Northwest Indiana is promising," said Phil Taillon, SSCVA President/CEO. "We invite all businesses to join us at our annual Partnership Summit on November 14. Our team will demonstrate how collaboration can boost tourism and drive more customers to your doorstep. This is an opportunity for every business to benefit, as both visitors and residents enjoy the wide range of attractions and amenities our region offers."

Established in 1983, the SSCVA is a sales and marketing organization that leads the hospitality industry and aids its partners through the development and support of attractions throughout Northwest Indiana. The SSCVA attracts meetings, sporting events, reunions, group tours and leisure travelers looking for a getaway from around the nation.

Testimonials from current partners include the Executive Director at the Hesston Steam Museum Ted Rita, who said, “After attending the 2023 summit, they showed me that they have an advertising agency mindset that produces results.” Dave Toth, Co-Owner at Byway Brewing Co. stated, “Byway places a high value on our partnership with the SSCVA. The summit presents an excellent opportunity for businesses to learn about the benefits the SSCVA can bring to them.” And Julie Zasada, Executive Director at The Museum at Lassen’s Resort commented, “The detailed reports presented at the summit help us make informed decisions to maximize our outreach. We always leave inspired.”

Summit topics include an overview of 2024 successes and what to expect in 2025, new sports and leisure initiatives, marketing and advertising opportunities, and more.

There are two sessions to choose from: 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Both will be the same and include drinks, snacks and surprise giveaways. To register or for partnership information, contact Barb Mack at barb@southshorecva.com or 219-301-7755.
