By the time you receive this letter I will be on my way to a hotel in Rwanda where I will be meeting our newest missionaries. Our church is planting a brand new congregation right in the heart of Kigali, a city of 1 million people. Wow! After a couple of days in Rwanda I hop on a plane for Nairobi, Kenya where I will be speaking at the Edge Leadership Conference hosted by our sister church, the Nairobi Chapel. I’m also paying a surprise visit to our orphans in Mitaboni. Then I'm back with you to preach the Word. What a trip!
And while I’m in Africa, you are in for a treat. This Sunday morning you are going to hear Dr. David Chadwick, senior pastor of one of the largest churches in Charlotte, NC. He will take us through the next section in the Gospel of Mark. I connected with David through a mutual friend, Bryce Drew, who met David when he played in the NBA with the Charlotte Bobcats. You are going to be blessed this Sunday!
I look forward to being back with you next Sunday—and telling you how God is using us to help “spread the Word throughout NWI and the world.” As the great British missionary William Carey said, “Let’s attempt great things for God—and expect great things from God.” Here we come 2014!!!
