Mother's Day at Calvary was simply amazing! Once again the house was packed with people who were here to worship, as well as join us in celebrating the arrival of 39 little children who are precious to the Lord. I know I keep saying it, but we sure do need some more room around here!
As you know, this month I am asking you to join my wife and I in making a commitment to our Even More generosity initiative. We simply cannot do this without you! Your commitment will help shape the future of this church community. Most importantly, your commitment will impact lives for eternity!
I am praying for you as you talk with family, get wise counsel, and ask God to guide you. Our goal is 337 commitments, and we're well on our way. Beginning this week and continuing throughout May, we will be updating you on the progress of our generosity initiative. You can see the number of commitments that have been made to the project in the column on the right. Be one of the 337! Help us change lives forever!
I am excited to be with you again this Sunday. I've been digging into Acts 8 and can't wait to share God's Word with you. Plan to be with your church family this week and bring a friend. No matter how many chairs it takes, we'll find a seat for everyone.

Coffee With the Pastors
Visitors to Calvary are invited to meet our pastors and ministry leaders on Sunday 5.15. This is a casual, relaxed evening where we invite you to ask questions and get to know the church staff. Join us at Calvary (NEW location!) from 6:30-8p for a cup of coffee, tasty desserts, and a chance to meet others who are new to Calvary.
Starting Point Membership Class
Starting Point provides important information for those considering making Calvary their home church. Plus you'll have a chance to connect with others in this highly interactive class. Starting Point meets three consecutive Wednesdays beginning 5.18 from 6:30-8p in room 403.
Calvary Students: The Plunge
Coming up Sunday 5.22 Calvary Students are celebrating taking the plunge from 5:30-8:30p at Pastor Mark Lackey's house (103-2 S 200 W Valparaiso, IN 46385). We'll be welcoming students immersing themselves in Calvary Students for the first time--5th graders heading into 6th grade--and celebrating our seniors, who are preparing to say bon voyage and dive into new life experiences.
Calvary Serves
Calvary Serves is early this year, and sign-ups are happening now! We're spreading across the city to serve organizations and individuals on Saturday 5.21. Meet in the Well at Calvary at 8a.
Know someone who could use help with basic home repairs or outdoor clean-up? Submit the project and we'll send out as many teams as we can to meet these community needs!
VBS Volunteer Sign-Ups
Calling Volunteers! Sign-up now to join our Diving Team for Submerged VBS 2016! We will dive down from 5:45-8:30p on June 27-29 and wrap up with a Family Fun Night on July 30. You can also sign-up on Sunday or ask questions at our table in the foyer.
