Carpenters Local 1005 Awards College Scholarships to Area Youth

Local-Carpenters-1005Carpenters Local 1005 recently awarded six college scholarships to local students to be used to further their continued education.

Each 2011 scholarship recipient was awarded a $500 scholarship to help offset tuition costs for university, college, trade school or technical schools. The scholarship recipients named were Carolyn Gardiner, Kristin Simko, Bradley Qualizza, Meghan Davis, Katie Gunter.

The Carpenters Local 1005 believes in improving lives through hard work, education and solidarity and naturally it is our honor to award these scholarships and to help these hard working students achieve their dreams,” said Mike Kwiatkowski, Recording Secretary for the Carpenters Local 1005.
