Chesterton High School Art Dept. Attends Workshops in 2016

CHS-Art-Dept-attends-workshops-2016Seven CHS/DSC art faculty and 12 students went to Fort Wayne recently to attend six different art workshops. Students ended the day with individual student portfolio reviews giving them new insight and perspective to their work.

Students made new friends and were familiarized with the comprehensive art programing available at University of St Francis. Teachers were treated to a jewelry workshop with well-known Indiana environmental artist Bonnie Zimmerman from Rensselaer, who also specializes in jewelry design. This was of special interest due to a CHS offering a new class in Jewelry this year. Everyone--both teachers and students-- came home with evidence and products from their day-long adventure.
