The Valparaiso Police Department will be hosting a church security seminar on Thursday December 5th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In recent years numerous illegal incidents have occurred to church property or at the church while services were in progress. This seminar will focus on crime prevention issues and building awareness to potential crime issues.
Some of the topics discussed will be, the purpose for church security, building/property security, child security while at church- including what to do with registered sex offenders, dealing with difficult people, developing a safety team and a church emergency action plan.
