Come see what the all new ValPLAYso – The Next Generation will look like during the Big Reveal Celebration. The Celebration will be on Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 pm at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. The public is invited to look over the plans for ValPLAYso – The Next Generation, which were created with input from all Valparaiso elementary aged students.
The original ValPLAYso was built by the people of Valparaiso in 1994. Now, 20 years later, the community will again come together to build ValPLAYso – The Next Generation. The new play space will be improved to address issues of safety, accessibility and visibility.
A community build project, ValPLAYso – The Next Generation offers community members with all skill sets an opportunity to come together to work collectively on a project that will be an important asset to Valparaiso. The commercial value of ValPLAYso – The Next Generation is estimated to be two to three times the cost of building it. Donated and discounted materials also are important in cost saving.
At the Big Reveal Celebration, in addition to introducing the play space's plan, volunteers will be able to sign up and donations will also be accepted. For more information on ValPLAYso – The Next Generation, visit www.valpoparksfoundation.org.
