Preparations are underway for the second annual Trunk R' Treat planned for Oct. 28th from 2-4 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church's parking lot, 1700 Monticello Park Dr. Valparaiso.
"Trunk R' Treat is a free community-wide event," said Kristen Kearney, chairperson for the event. "We're offering a safe and easy way to celebrate."
Immanuel families decorate the trunks of their cars and then children trick-or-treat from car-to-car.
Besides trick-or-treating to over 40 cars, there will be free popcorn, hot chocolate, crafts and games. The festivities will also include prizes for the best decorated car trunk.
"Everyone in the community is invited to participate in this fun, free event," said Kearney.
