County Line Orchard Hosts its 1st Annual Blues & BBQ Fest

County Line Orchard presented it's 1st Annual Blues & BBQ Festival.  If you like BBQ ribs this was the place to be on  July 2, 2011.  All your favorites were being served from slabs BBQ ribs to fancy fried ribbon potatoes.  It wouldn't be County Line Orchard with out their famous cinnamon apple doughnuts too.

Doors opened at 1pm followed by live music performances . The artists playing at the BBQ & Blues Fest were Jimmy Warren, Duke Tomatoe & The Power Trio, Head Honchos and all the way from the Boston area a 12 year old Blues guitarist Quinn Sullivan who has already graced the stage with greats like Buddy Guy and BB King .  Closing up the show was Governor Davis & The Blues Ambassadors.

There was a "Kids Corner" that had face painting, an inflatable slide, climbing wall and maze for the younger crowd to bounce in and have fun. That's not all if you wanted to get a ride around the orchard there were wagon rides as well.

For the older crowds there was a "Beer Garden", and of course live music.

Part of the evening included a raffle for an American made Fender Stratocaster Guitar signed by all the artists that played at the festival.  Winner of the guitar went to a 12 year old by the name of  Michael Connor of Cedar Lake.  Congratulations Michael!

Ryan Richardson co-owns the Orchard along with Tom Collins and Ryan said "This is the first year for Fireworks and the BBQ & Blues Festival & Cook Off and we would like to make it an annual event every year.  We are also adding something  new to the County Line Orchard, blueberries." Blueberry doughnuts, new to the Orchard, were offered to the public.

County Line Orchard would like to give a special thanks to Luke Oil, Front Porch Music, Broadway Music and Four Seasons Sunrooms of  North West Indiana.

The evening ended with an awesome display of fireworks.
