Ivy Tech Community College recently announced completion on major upgrades to the Valparaiso Campus Welding Lab student learning space.
Featuring state of the art upgrades, ventilation, and equipment improvements the lab has been uniquely constructed to help area students not only explore academic programs, and skilled trade careers but also to encourage new thought pathways and innovation. The new Welding Lab is designed to feature dynamic, interactive classroom space for students across Northwest Indiana to learn industry concepts.
The brand-new Welding Lab will be formally unveiled at new ribbon cutting ceremony set to take place April 9th at 10 am CT on the Ivy Tech Community College Campus located at 3100 Ivy Tech Drive, Valparaiso, IN. Event is free of charge and open to public. Light refreshments will be served.
“Our welding lab space is nothing short of an amazing venture for Ivy Tech Community College. At the college we are 100% committed to meeting students where they are at. Our new and improved welding lab space does just that. This custom classroom and learning space has been intentionally built to deliver higher education at the speed of life for students across the region,” said Campus Chancellor, Aco Sikoski.
Classes and courses offered in the space will vary throughout the academic school year.
“We are beyond thrilled to showcase this new state of the art welding lab space to community members across Northwest Indiana. We greatly hope that everyone can join us as we unveil the upgraded space,” said Dean for School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, & Applied Science, and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Jennifer Ortiz.
